Welcome to the Burkina Development Partnership

Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world with few resources for the people to make things better for themselves. Situated on the edge of the Sahara Desert makes for a very harsh existence for its people. Life expectancy is approximately 55years and infant mortality rates are very high.

BDP exists to help in a small way to improve the lives of some of these people by raising awareness and funds and by sending teams to do practical work.

We can’t change the world but we can change the world for one person.

We now have the first pupils attending year 1 of the secondary school.

Last summer all the P6 pupils passed their exams and were eligible to move on to the next stage in their education.
